Letters

May 4th, 1998

Welcome to the fourth installment of the Letters page. This time around, we answer questions about the Color Game Boy and the possibility of another Zelda game.

Courtney writes: Hi. My name is Courtney, and this is my second time writing you. First of all, I would like to thank you for putting up my first letter on your new Letters page. Second, I would like to say how much the Letters section has contributed to your site. Ice, the main reason I check your site everyday is to see if any Letters were included in your daily updates. So far, all of your updates have been good and worthwhile ones, and I would like to congradulate you on your accomplishment of having the biggest Zelda music collection on the entire internet. It will be hard to mantain that claim, especially with foes like Steve and Niels at Zelda Headquarters, but I know you can handle them. You have a great site, and I have a few suggestions that could make it a tad bit better. All of these are intended to help you build up your site and surpass others, and hopefully be better than Zelda Headquarters someday. Anyway, I think that a daily Letters page would be a big plus, though it would be a lot of work. But if I know you like I think I do, then you will do anything it takes to keep us Zelda fans happy. Another suggestion that I have is that you should make a stratagy guide to all four Zeldas. I don't mean that you should do this right away, and I certainly don't want to pile up a lot of work on you, but you have an uncommonly good dedication, a dedication in which you go to all extremes to ensure that Zelda lives on in the hearts of gamers forever. I don't want to bore you too much with a long letter (looks like I'm already too late), but I think that these sections would be great. And if you need any help doing anything at any time, just ask, and I'll do anything you want me to, no matter how hard it would be. I'm here for you, Ice.

Ice replies: Wow. That's the longest letter that I've ever seen with such perfect spelling and grammer. And congratulations on your second appearance on Ice's Zelda Central (I have got to come up with a better name!). I totally agree with you (on most things). A daily Letters page would be a great plus. And you have driven me to start doing a Letters page THREE times a week. Often more, occasionally less. I don't need (or really want) any help right now, Courtney, but thanks for your offer. It's good to see a Zelda fan so dedicated and to see someone who is willing to help me in my somewhat noble purpose. And a stratagy section doesn't sound like a bad idea...

Quert writes: hey, where's all the zelda 64 stuff? i mean, hey, if you're gooing to have a zelda site, then why shouldn't you have a lot of zelda 64 stuff. hey, this game is going to reveloutionise (sp?) zelda forever! hey, you need to have a zelda 64 preview, or at least something.

Ice replies: "Hey", I have MADE a Zelda 64 preview! But I'll wait until everything on my site settles down for anything else. I've got a lot of Letters pages to do, especially if I'm going to even attempt a daily Letters page. And since Ganon isn't here today, the most promising release date for Zelda 64 is 11/21/98.

Raymond writes: Will Zelda V be Rumble Pack compatible? I was skeptical of it at first, but the Rumble PAck is pretty cool. It's awesome on Yoshi's Story. Please answer my question on your Letters Section.

Ice replies: Miyomato has confirmed that Zelda 64 will be Rumble Pak compatable, but he said that it will only be "slightly".

The Peanut Butter Man IV writes: yOUR SITE IS PRETTY WIMPY COMPARED TO ALOT OF OTHERS. yOU NEED A ZELDA 64 PREVIIEW, A BIGGER LETTERS PLACE, more MUSIC, MORE PEOPLE WORKING ON IT, AND MORE ABOUT THE GAMES. rIGHT NOW, YOUR JUST A ZELDA JUKE BOX. sINCE YOU NEED SOMEONE ELSE TO WORK ON IT, CAN i DO IT?

Ice replies: YOU DON'T HAVE TO YELL SO LOUD!!! More music, you demand? I have the biggest Zelda music collection on the internet, and you want more? And I'm not going to talk about a Zelda 64 preview again. When Ganon gets back, I'll make him do it. And I simply don't need more people working on my site. And even if I did, I'd give the job to Courtney up there, whom can at least capitolize correctly. And more letters will come with the site's age. And I've already said that I'll do a stratagy section for the games. Just give me time. When I could be doing that, I'm sitting here typing a reply to your LOUD letter. Go get some jelly or something, Peanut Butter Man IV.

Oisha! Oisha! writes: Why don't Link and Zelda never get married? I mean, hey, in my opinion, Zelda's hot, and that stupid little elf is stupid for not marriing her!

Ice replies: Well, there are apparently three Links and four Zeldas. The first pair are from Zelda 64, and we really know nothing about them. I don't know why the third Link (Zelda I and II) didn't marry the third Zelda (Zelda I). But the second Link (Zelda III and IV) was apparently in love with Marin, and she disappeared after Link woke the Wind Fish. Confused yet? I am. Someday, I should make a Story section...

WAZ UP MA MAN PHOE! writes: WAZ UP MA MAN ICE? Fo, your sight sucks in cmparisin with Zelda headquartrs! Fo, you shoul get off yo lazy as* [edited] and make some use of yo cra*py [edited] self!

Ice replies: "Fo", get off "yo" lazy [never mind] and get some grammer! I have said this before and I don't want to say this again, I will no longer accept any mail or letters with any swearing whatsoever. I don't even appreciate slang very much. Well, thus endeth another Letters section. I will try to keep my three day a week commitment, and I can only do so with letters from fans like YOU.
