The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Item Locations

Regular Sword: You will find this in the Dungeon of the castle at the first of the game. Your Uncle gives it to you.

Master Sword: You will find this in the lost woods. You need all three pendants before you can wield it.

Yellow Sword: You can get this by rescuing the dwarf in the Darkworld. After he gets back to his house he will tell you to come back if you need your sword tempered.

Bronze Sword: Once you get access to the fairy in the pyramid, throw your shield in the water.

Regular Shield: You will find this in the Dungeon of the castle at the first of the game. Your Uncle gives it to you.

Fire Shield: Various shops in the Darkworld.

Mirror Shield: You will find this in Level Seven. (Turtle Rock)

Green Mail: You start the game with this on.

Blue Mail: You will obtain this in Level Six. (Ice Palace)

Red Mail: You will obtain this in Level Eight. (Agahnim’s Palace)

Pegasus Boot’s: You obtain these from the village elder. You must complete the Eastern Palace for the Pendant.

Zora’s Flippers: You will find this in the northeastern corner of the Overworld. You must find a big Waterfall and you must have 500 rupies.

Power Glove: You will find this in the Desert Palace in the Light World. It enables you to lift heavy objects.

Titan’s Mitt: This is found in Level Four(Gargoyle’s Domain). It enables you to lift the black stones.

Moon Pearl: This is found inside The Tower of Hera. After you obtain this you will be able to go to the Darkworld without changing into a rabbit.

Boomerang: You will find this deep inside Hyrule Castle. This weapon has been in every Zelda game ever made.

Magical Boomerang: To get this, just throw your original Boomerang into the Waterfall of Wishing near Zora’s Falls. This Boomerang flies across the whole screen.

Hookshot: You can find this weapon in Level Two(Swamp Palace). It can be used to damage enemies, Clear gaps, retrieve items, freeze enemies, and other useful things.

Bombs: You can get Bombs from enemies, chests, or bushes. You can pick up thrown Bombs by pressing the A button over the Bomb.

Super Bomb: You get this at the bomb shop. It is used to open the crack in the side of the pyramid. You can’t get it unless you have beaten the Fifth and Sixth Levels.

Hammer: This will be found in Level One in the Darkworld.

Flute: A small flute player gives it to you.

Bug Catching Net: This is given to you by a sick little boy in the village.

Potions: You can get these at the witches’ hut.

Mirror: An old man on Death Mountain gives it to you.

Book of Mudora: Found in the Library. You have to have the Pegasus Boots.

Magic Mushrooms: You will find this in the Lost Woods. Take it to the Witches.

Magic Powder: You obtain this after you give the witch the Magic Mushroom. After a while return to hut and go inside for the bag of Magic Powder.

Ice Rod: You will find this in a cave east of Lake Hylia. You will have to have a bomb to blow open a doorway on the left side of the pre-existing cave.

Fire Rod: You can find this in Level Three(Skull Dungeon).

Bombos: Stand in the middle of the stones at the edge of the desert in the Darkworld. Then use the Mirror to go to the Lightworld. Bombos is the power of fire. You must have the Book of Mudora.

Ether: This is found west of The Tower of Hera. Ether is the power of weather. You must have the Book of Mudora.

Quake: At the Waterfall of Wishing in the Darkworld, throw a stone in the circle of stones to make a fish swim to the top. He will give you the Quake Medallion. Quake is nature at it’s strongest.
