Music Analysis

The Legend of Zelda (NES)

Groundbreaking for its time, and the ripples are still being felt today.

Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (NES)

The under-appreciated entry of the series for years. It was started a pattern of every other Zelda game having a different composer.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)

Koji Kondo returned for another Zelda soundtrack that even today influences the series heavily.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (GB)

Link's Awakening milked every drop of power from the Game Boy system, and many of the vast amount of tunes are memorable.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)

Koji Kondo was back, providing a full score to the first 64-bit entry of the Zelda series.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)

Majora's Mask had a very broad and very deep soundtrack, one that came from the Ocarina of Time game but also stood well on its own.
