Monthly Report, January 2006

By Ice

January, 2006, was our first full month online in quite a number of years. It had its ups and downs, that's for sure ... but it was significant for us in many ways.

One of the first things people will remember about this month is the obvious cosmetic changes that took place to the site. We have a slightly new style, as well as a new layout that allows for the rapid expansion that the site is undergoing.

Our main sections have been divided up differently, and the Currently Hot box is now on the right, and shows up on every page. In addition to that, we have a new box, titled "Currently Hot Music", which displays whatever significant events that are happening in our music section.

Speaking of the music section, that was one of our biggest accomplishments this month: we definitely got the music section rolling. I created over 50 new MIDI files for the Music section this month, and they're being put online at a rapid pace. Many people have written in, saying how immensely they enjoy them, and I thank all of you who have taken the time to write me. I definitely appreciate it!

6 editions of Letters this month ... several editorials ... definitely a good trend. We hope it continues.

The new section, Special Features, was crammed with all kinds of interesting content. We have some historical articles in there, as well as new material and neat scripts that let you interact with a character from Hyrule. In addition to that, we introduced "Hyrule's Most Haunted Places", which is a must-read for a Zelda fan who likes a good scare every once in awhile!

Really, the Special Features section was a great accomplishment for us ... it contains 62 articles/files! A lot of interesting and original content, all given to you in a very short period of time. You can't find most of these things anywhere else of the web.

We made many new friends this month, which we are grateful for, as well. A special thank you to them, for extending their friendship!

IZC is growing very quickly. We had daily updates this month, and each and every one of them brought new and exciting content to Ice's Zelda Central. If we continue at this pace, we'll start to achieve our potential ... and frankly, we can't wait to be fully-grown!

Thanks for visiting the site, and thanks for reading ... we look forward to many more months of serving the fans and the community!

Stay cool ...

Ice.
